Stephen has 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry, in Britain and abroad, and learned his trade at the 'coal face' through hands-on experience, working in management, overseeing staff of more than 100 people, and learning alongside some of Britain's finest chefs.
Raised in Uganda from the age of two months until seven years, Stephen has a great passion for travel, often returning to Africa, and travelling at any opportunity. He is especially interested in the food, cultures and people he meets on his travels. He is passing on this love of travel to his ten year old daughter Emily, who has already visited more than a dozen countries.
Perhaps Stephens's biggest achievement is the property he lives in when at home in Pembrokeshire. Renting the property from the age of eighteen, and buying it when twenty five. Over many years, with his wife Kim, they have undertaken numerous major alterations and additions, project managing major building work and landscaping projects. Transforming it from an almost derelict two bedroom farm cottage into a luxurious five bedroom, £1m, 5.5 acre property. He is meticulous in his work, and especially enjoys, landscaping and garden maintenance. The house is often rented as a holiday home, to the delight of many happy tourists to Pembrokeshire.
